
Marianne was born and raised in Nova Scotia and an active member of St. John Ambulance since 1991. She first joined St. John Ambulance as a volunteer and has completed over 10,000 volunteer hours. During her career with St. John Ambulance she has been responsible for organizing and providing medical coverage for some of the most significant events in Halifax including: Hurricane Juan, the Swiss Air disaster, and The Big Sleep Over – September 11. Not all events in Marianne’s career have been disasters; some are actually unforgettable good times such as the Rolling Stones Concert, 2007 Tall Ships and the Nova Scotia International Tattoo. For the past nine years Marianne has been a member of the Nova Scotia First Aid team, where she has won numerous national aware awards. In 2013, she also received a Life Saving Award for saving the life of a patron at the Halifax Metro Centre. Marianne brings her finely tuned expertise and leadership to Shadow Security as the First Aid Trainer for our full staff. Ensuring both proper skills and protocol, Marianne plays an integral role in developing the team’s overall skill set.
