Kyle Spearin is an AVN (aviation technician), a first line tech on Sea King Helicopters, a member of Base Defence Force (BDF) Marlant, a Ship’s team diver and an AES Op (Airborne Equipment Sensor Operator) who received his trade wings in April 2007. Kyle has been an employee of Shadow Security since 2002. His training with Shadow Security has included LVAC level 1 certification as well as his tactical handcuffing. His military training has included O.C. Spray, Asp baton, Vehicle searches, personal security of personnel and equipment, ship hull searches, jetty searches, and item removal from ship’s hulls. During this time Kyle still managed to amass over 3500 hours of on-site event security, helping to supervise events ranging from The Halifax International Air Show to Snow Jam, Edge Fest, Antigonish Highland games and Superbikes. Kyle is also still very active in the Air Force and has been deployed on various special operation missions to work with other countries over seas in different roles, primarily as air support.
