A pre-law graduate from Dalhousie University specializing in criminology, Kent is a certified instructor-trainer in police defensive weapons and tactics through Modern Warrior in New York with too many security related training certifications to list. Kent’s experience includes providing supplementary security for former US President Bill Clinton during a speaking tour, and former Canadian Prime Minister Paul Martin. In addition, he has amassed a staggering 16,000 on-site hours at almost every major entertainment event in Eastern Canada since 2003. This includes KISS, Bon Jovi, AC/DC, Metallica, U2, and Paul McCartney. Kent has also assisted with security planning and logistics for everything from the UFC, to IIHF, to the Junos, ECMA’s Atlantic Film Festival and Membertou 400. Kent has even provided planning and implementation for major motion picture premiers including Divergent. Kent and members of his team made international headlines in 2012 when he was responsible for foiling the attempted abduction of a prominent gold mining executive. Kent can boast almost 240 celebrity clients in his career including private security for Motley Crüe, The Game, Ellen Page, The Trews, Bob Dylan, Rihanna, Akon, Ozzy Osbourne, Lenny Kravitz, Johnny Reid, and Axl Rose.
