Senior Supervisor - New Brunswick
Bruce is an UNB graduate who the went on to be a full time serving member of the Canadian Armed Forces since 2007, becoming a technician specializing in avionics. Bruce’s introduction to Shadow happened quite coincidentally at a Nickelback concert. During his time awaiting friends at the front gates, he volunteered his time keeping busy by opening and closing gates for paramedics and other workers alike. While liaising with the security detachment and patrons and having such a positive experience, Bruce applied to Shadow in order to do it again for the upcoming Bruce Springsteen concert on Magnetic Hill. He caught the “concert bug” as the owner would say, and has never looked back since. Bruce began his career as a static guard for the first two years, gradually taking advantage of upgrade programs and moved up the ladder to become supervisor, then transitioned to his current role as New Brunswick Operations Manager in 2015. He has worked over 200 concerts and events, providing access and crowd control at nightclubs, bars, indoor venues and outdoor events with capacities reaching almost one hundred thousand. Through Shadow, Bruce has had the opportunity to work alongside mayors, police commissionaires, security guards, officers, paramedics, business owners, celebrities, musicians, life-long friends, acquaintances and has travelled and seen a various latitude of special events and characters. Bruce is a black belt in Tae Kwon Do and a very avid armature wrestler. Bruce pays attention to detail maintaining maximum efficiency and takes great pride in making sure people have fun while staying safe.
