Liquor Control Enforcement / Senior Supervisor
As Liquor Control Enforcement / Security Supervisor for Shadow Security and a Senior Supervisor, Sam Morris has gained a wealth of industry experience. Starting her career with Shadow in early 2009, she trained under some of the best security personnel Atlantic Canada has to offer. Sam has completed her Licensed Venue Access control course as well as Age Verification training and is a certified Medical First Responder. Moving through the ranks quickly, she’s had the privilege of supervising many events such as Evolve Festival, The Highland Games, Fred Rock, The Canadian Tenors, Big Sugar, and Australian Pink Floyd, as well as numerous shows ranging from The Cancer Bats to The Stereos as the Supervisor for the Pavilion All Ages Club. Due to her extensive training in the Liquor Control Act, Protection of Private Property Act and Criminal code as well as her aptitude in ID verification, Ms. Morris began focusing her industry career on bar security. She has trained the majority of Shadow’s female door staff and is recognized for her experience with identification and her knowledge of the Liquor Control Act, making her an asset on venues and at events featuring alcohol service. Sam’s dedication, drive and constant eagerness to grow make her an asset to the Shadow team. Along with her supervisory role at licensed venues and new Operational Support role with the office, Sam graduated from Success College, where she is now a Mental Health & Addictions Counsellor for Shelter Nova Scotia.
